Wow, what a Faire season this has been, I have to say. It has run the gambit of ups and downs, and the full range of emotions.
St. Patties Day Invasion was a hoot! I loved meeting all the gang from Texas and Louisiana.
On Friday night was the meet and greet, did a head count, and there were 40 people here, tables laden with awesome food, and there was nothing of the food leftover. :0 lol
Capn Sin brought Crawfish, aka bugs, and they were gone in a matter of minutes, there was Guinness Stew, Shepards Pie, authentic chicken and yellow rice, compliments of Justin Thyme, BBQ Tofu, made by Blue6669 for Crawler, who is our resident veggie, my Salsa, pies galore, Loki, homemade brew, and the list goes on.... needless to say, alot of good fun was had, and new friendships made.
Saturday was a hot one, we had a few of us fall out due to the heat, but we all recovered and after Faire was the gathering at O'briens in Plant City.
Sunday was just as hot as Saturday, had a few more fall out due to the heat, but again, thanks to Justin's tent, and the Guild House, we all recovered except for one of us, who crashed here at Rogue Manor, and moved the party over to Hogans, in Tampa, where all had a blast.
Monday was departure day for all who came to visit, Sam seeing Conrad off at the Airport, and Blue and company departing Rogue Monor, and on the road back to Texas, and Capn Sin and his gang departing from the Plant City House. All arrived at their final destinations safely.
This weekend has been wet and rainy so far, hoping today will be alot drier. Weather Channel says yes to sunny skies, I hope they are right.
Not sure if I am going or not, as my back is acting up again, grrrrrrr...... I do need Erik to move down here, as he was able to get me thru two days of Faire, :) I have not done that in two seasons!!! Thank you Erik the Green!
Sad news to report from yesterday, Sir Martin, from the German Encampment had a heart attack on Friday night, he was rushed into surgery on Saturday. According to Exy, he is resting comfortably.
Our King was taken to the Hospital from Faire yesterday, dehydrated, and dizzy. He is recovering from surgery as well, this surgery took place about 6 weeks ago, if memory serves.....
My thoughts and prayers go out to these two gentlemen, may your recovery be swift, as Faire is not the same without you both there.
Well, that is all for now, will add more later I am sure...... Happy Easter to all!
Anon,
Lady Red
